Every believer has a God-given Destiny. In fact Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that God’s plans for us are “…to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future.” In this every believer has also a God-given potential to fulfil the calling that comes with the God-given destiny. However, there is a need for a tenacity and single-mindedness to pursue that destiny. But yet there are so many worldly and carnal distractions to trip us. How then do we keep our eyes upon Jesus as the author and finisher of our faith? Further, at the end of the day, are we able to say as Paul said in 2 Timothy 4:7, “…I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith”?
In life, to accomplish anything of worth, it is true that one must have dreams to determine one’s destiny. However, we also need clear goals, a hope, a vision and a mission. In fact, all memorable achievements are brought about by leaders with a vision. That’s why Proverbs 29:18 reminds us that “….where there is no vision, the people perish.” But how do we as believers go about seeking as well as crafting a Vision and Mission for our life and all that we do?
