In July 1998, the Lord laid upon me the burden to read, study and meditate on Mark 16:15-18.

    

Mark 16:15-18

15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.  16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.  17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;  18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."  NKJV

 

This began to establish for me what the Lord Jesus wanted to do through and in me in my calling as an Evangelist.

 

In August 1998, the Holy Spirit led me to meditate on Mark 16:20.

 

Mark 16:20

20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen. NKJV

 

It was then clear to me that the evangelistic work of Covenant Vision would be anchored around a ministry of healing, signs and wonders. That the Lord Jesus Christ would be working with us to confirm the preaching of the Word with signs following. However, the precondition is that the Word had to be preached!

 

What Word? The Lord began to lay on my heart that although He is concerned and cares for our needs, He is not moved by need! Hebrews 11:6 reminds us that He is moved by Faith. Furthermore, Matthew 6:8 reminds us that God “…knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.”

The key seems to be that Faith is activated when we ask. THE WORD OF FAITH!

 

It is clear that our Lord Jesus had to be the center in all things. After all, He is the author and finisher of our Faith, that only in Him can we live and move and have our being. That He is the Healer and that the key is to touch Jesus!

 

Out of the aforesaid, the Covenant Vision healing ministry was established with the name, TOUCH JESUS, HE HEALS!

 

On April 24, 1999, the first TOUCH JESUS, HE HEALS! Healing Service was held in Wesley Methodist Church with me sharing the Word. The second service was held on June 12, 1999 at Chapel of the Holy Spirit.

 

Since then, more than 70 such services have been held in partnership with various Local Churches of various denominations.

 

We have received so many testimonies of healings from Cancer, of Epilepsy, of Parkinson’s Disease, of cysts disappearing, Rheumatoid Arthritis, skin diseases, allergies, of twisted limbs being made whole, blind eyes seeing, of deaf ears hearing and so many other miracles to the Glory of God!

 

Not only testimonies of physical healings, but also of many who have been made whole, restored emotionally and set free of various bondages, hurtful memories and addictions. Also, testimonies of deliverance from mental disorder and depressions as well as demonic oppression and possession. We have also seen relationships reconciled, marriages restored, and even freedom from financial bondage.

 

Perhaps the greatest joy in all this has been to see lives touched and transformed for Jesus. Many of those who have been healed, have also volunteered to serve in the Healing Services through the ministry teams. Many have also joined the various ministry teams that went to Australia, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Thailand and Mauritius.

 

This ministry has not only seen God’s power moving sovereignty to meet needs, but it has also grown to become a ministry that has raised up, trained and equipped as well as released people to serve and minister for Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit. Glory to Jesus!
