Every Christian has his or her own race that God has marked out for us in our spiritual journey. The Christian race is not one of a sprint but one of a marathon. There will be lonely stretches, hills, valleys, pot holes, bumps, rocks and stones, weaknesses, burnout and even fatigue, along the way. There are also places where loose gravel and hilly terrain may make running treacherous. In addition, each of us may carry present issues and even sins of the past that might hinder us or trip us up in moving forward in our spiritual journey. This sermon examines how we can let go and allow God to work in our lives so that we can move forward in the purpose and plan of God.
