CVC Women's Action Ministry

For many years, we had a burden for women in need. We realised the immensity of the problems, hurt, mental, physical and actual trauma suffered by women. When the burden became stronger and stronger, we were worried. We knew we had to do something about it. We know that we needed to start a ministry to cater to Women.

Women’s Fellowship was started in March 2000. This fellowship was held every Wednesday from 12 pm - 2 pm. It comprised of homemakers, young ladies and career women. Our aim was not Bible study, but dealing with topics that applied to our every day living as women. This ministry was set up to encourage, help strengthen and spiritually nurture women and equip them to fulfill their role and calling in the Kingdom of God. (Colossians 2:2-7)

In March 2008 Women’s Action Ministry replaced the Women’s Fellowship with a change in emphasis to now cater to women with marital problems. Praise God many marriages have since been reconciled and restored. Today we not only want to help women with marital problem but also to help them grow, apply and know of God’s plans and purpose in their lives.

As of April 2011, the structure of the Women’s Action Ministry has changed. We believe that women play a very important role in the Kingdom of God. We are to be helpmeets to our husbands, we are to be Godly mothers to our children as well as a role models to other women. So while we are still ministering to women with marital problems (please refer cases to Sis Shirley), we want to also build up the women at large.

Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month, we will be conducting lunchtime meetings for all women. We will share testimonies, learn how to pray together, share the Word, and fellowship.
