CVC Prayer Powerhouse

“Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on My altar; For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” Isa 56: 7

This was and remains the call from our good Lord which we have heeded and are still heeding. The Prayer Powerhouse Ministry has its roots going back to February 1992 when 3 Christian brothers and 2 sisters-in-Christ started gathering together with Sis Shirley and Bro Francis in their home to pray.  This prayer group continued to meet every Monday night and became the powerhouse of the Caldecott Small Group started in March 1992, in the home of Sis Shirley and Bro Francis.

In July 1998, when Bro. Francis Khoo started the Covenant Vision Ministry, the prayer meetings was named PRAYER POWERHOUSE and became one of the pillars of ministry.  Today, it continues as a time of prayer and intercession.  A key to the impossible, to shape events, and to stand in the gap for the nations.

From its humble start of 7 brothers and sisters in Christ, the Ministry today has a core group of some 50 prayers warriors.  At the forefront of the hearts and minds of each and every intercessor and prayer warrior is the desire to be set apart for the Lord, to ask of Him the nations for our inheritance, and the ends of the earth for our possession (Ps 2:8) and true to His promise that He will give, He has indeed given us measures of His love and answers to our prayers.

Answered Prayers

As we commit the nations, our ministries, others and ourselves to the Lord in prayer, we saw the hand of the Lord move in miraculous ways.  Testimony after testimony came back to us declaring of our Lord's goodness and the people's gratitude to God for answers to prayers.

We have also introduced and incorporated the commissioning of mission teams to the Lord during these prayer times before sending them out into the field.  The Lord working with us, the teams always came back with reports filled with the “awesomeness” of God.  Another regular item on the agenda during the weekly Monday meetings is the “laying on of hands” in corporate intercession, on the hundreds of prayer requests received from all over the world.  Testimonies to God's faithfulness has also been received.

Our God Remembers

The Lord remembers!  He remembers our needs and hearts' desires.  There were times when the Holy Spirit would just direct us to pray for ourselves and our own needs before committing others' to Him.  These are the times when we were so touched that we would be weeping with tears of joy and brokenness when we bring ourselves before Him.
