Our Acceptance in Christ
14 February 2012

Someone wrote: Rejection is one of the most painful experiences known to humanity. Unconditional love and acceptance is one of the most basic needs of all humanity. Rejection can be very obvious, but more often it is very subtle. We are not chosen, we are left out, we are pushed aside, we are dropped or we are spurned. Acceptance is the opposite of rejection. The best kind of acceptance is that which is unconditional. Conditional acceptance still builds walls because sometimes the acceptance is withdrawn and this is experienced as another rejection. The Bible tells us that God has made us accepted in the Beloved (i.e. in Christ) – Ephesians 1:6. God’s acceptance of us in Christ is an unconditional acceptance.
