One of the most dangerous things we do in Biblical studies is, we read the Bible and interpret it through our modern, or later way of thinking, fitting it into our society or culture. The Bible is a Jewish book, therefore we must translate its contents from a Jewish mindset.

This teaching will allow the Bible to speak from its own culture and recognise God as real, living, interacting with us. It will also teach us to understand the Jewish culture and mindset, as well as some of the more difficult verses in the bible.
