God's Promise of a Gold Pot!

PDFPrintEmail

Now, faith is a substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
But without faith it is impossible to please God…
Faith comes from hearing the word….
Faith without works is dead.
Look unto Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith.

These familiar lines are often heard in Bro Francis' teachings and these anointed verses definitely sank deep into me. And today, I am going to testify the goodness of God as I learnt and grew in faith from the teachings I got from Covenant Vision Ministry.

About five months ago, I had an offer to join a new promising organisation. Instead of feeling joyful, I had no peace. The main reason of leaving my job was to “get away”. I was like a bruised and wounded dove searching for a new landing...but I know I had to seek God for guidance.

As I was seeking anxiously for God to respond, I received a word from Bro Francis. He said: “There is a vision of a “gold pot”. It is hidden and needs to be dug up. Therefore, be bold; and ask God.” Does this mean that God had given me the approval to leave and go for this seemingly promising job?? My intellect said ‘Yes' but something within was uncertain. I asked God for a confirmation.

Yes, God did give affirmation for me to stay back. Honestly, I had a bigger struggle within myself because there were many reasons to leave than to stay. To forsake a potential offer and stay back in that dark dam was a total out of mind.

Well, for two days, God continuously filled my mind with songs of praise and worship. It came down like an unknown power that energised me with a victorious feeling. Peace was there, comfort was there….

Praise God, the familiar verse came to mind “Now, faith is a substance we hope for….” That “unseen substance” was that victorious feeling which surpassed all my understanding… I choose to stay even I know I had to face more “fiery darts'.

At that time, I thought I had missed that vision of my “gold pot” but I remembered Bro Francis' teaching on the dimensions of prayers. Positive confession in the word of God has creative power in the spiritual world. Therefore, every word confessed by our mouth will determine the outcome.

“As the children of God, we are blessed with all spiritual blessing. And the keys to the kingdom of heaven, and whatever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever we loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

And the verse rang again…..”Faith comes from hearing…. and faith without works is dead.”

Convinced, I proclaim that all the blessings that were received from the LORD shall not be stolen away. What was lost shall be returned and with double folds. And obviously, I spoke forth my claim on my “gold pot”!

Well, it is natural for me to ask our Father who always had in mind to give me good gifts. “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you….thoughts of peace and not evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

By the grace of God, I received strength to walk through the days in the valley of darkness. Witnessing His glorious Light shining through the darkness as the adversaries were slowly removed. Much more, it was a process of pruning, building and strengthening of my character.

Now, I had many prayers answered and received a handsome reward as my “gold pot”. Not just that, I was requested back into employment by the head quarters. Hallelujah!

“God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did.” Man sees failure, God gives victory. Truly, HE wants His children to stand firm and be bold; as conquerors to honor Him back with the light to shine forth His glory. Amen!

For HE abides in us to give comfort, guidance and strength. All glory to Jesus!
