God's perfect job for me

PDFPrintEmail

The first couple of times I attend the Friday Spiritual Growth Seminars, I kept thinking "what are they doing?" However, after a few more sessions, I started to sing along as well and each time I would pick a Bible from the shelf to read. Few weeks later when I was singing along to the song Majesty, something about surrendering my body and soul and forgiving of sins, I started tearing. No matter how hard I tried to stop or control it, I just couldn’t. At the end of the session, when Rev Francis was praying and healing others, something inside me urged me to go forward to receive Christ. I told Madeleine about it and she says it is Father Lord calling me. So I picked up my courage and told Rev Francis I want to receive Christ.

He asked me if I am I ready and I said yes. When he started to lay hands on my head and prayed, he asked me if I had a talisman on me which I took out and later burnt away. Just when I thought that was all, Rev Francis asked me if there is another talisman on me. Even I had forgotten there was a second one and I was surprised how he knew. I was thinking it must be the power of God. Upon praying the prayer of Salvation, I felt a strange energy going through me from my head downwards to my body; and from that day onwards I was able to hear another voice from my heart telling me right from wrong and when to control my temper.

At the time of receiving Christ, I was jobless. During a chat with Sis Shirley and Sis Marianne, I told them I would like an office job so I could attend Friday and Sunday services. They started praying for me and guiding me how to pray for the job I wanted. I also prayed for any job just to tide me through the festive season.

Shortly after, Mei Zhen Xiang offered me a part time job and I agree to work with them. I was reluctant at first, but my heart kept telling me “U WORK THEN U WILL HAVE FOOD”. I remembered this is from the Bible. In the meantime, I received a call from Coffee Club asking me to go for an interview. They offered me a high paying post of Assistant Outlet Manager and I could start work on 2nd Feb. I was overjoyed as the manager was so keen in employing me as he recognised my years of experience. However, on the first day of work, I was told report to Orchard Fountain Outlet, which is an open area concept and 24hrs rather than the Raffles place outlet I was originally assigned to. I started questioning God if this is what He intended for me as things were not going well for me. How was I to attend Friday services if I worked at a 24hrs outlet? Then again FATHER God answers all prayers.

As I worked on, the situation became worse each day passes. After a few days of work, I felt uneasy and kept complaining to my fiancée Madeleine. Then one Wednesday, I accidentally spilled wine on a customer, I apologised but they still lodged a complain with the HQ. After this, my Operation Manager came to tell me to leave at the end of the week as the complain was very bad. I offered to work for them till Valentine's Day, but he just rejected me. So I was back to square one.

Then a cousin of mine who owns an engineering company asked me if I would be interested to work for them as Project Admin Coordinator. At first I told her I would like to consider as I had a Subway interview coming up but when I called Madeleine to discuss about, I got scolding from her reminding me this was what I have prayed for in the first place. She told me to accept the offer right away and I did. I remembered this was what I prayed for with Sis Shirley and Sis Marianne.

So never doubt our Father Lord as all our prayers will be answered, it may just be a matter of time as long as we are obedient.
