Missions Reporting

"And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the Word through the accompanying signs. Amen." (Mark 16:20)

As a Missions-Evangelist, Rev Francis is seeks to extend the challenge in Acts 1:8, to be a witness for Jesus "... unto the uttermost parts of the earth." To also establish bastions to extend tha inroads made and to support ongoing Christian work that would facilitate the work of the Kingdom of God.
OK
Since CVC was birthed, the Lord has brought Rev Francis to many parts of the world to preach the gospel of the Kingdom. Even as God made the way, and as Rev Francis was obedient to go, many have come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and have learnt to live as victorious Christians.

On the 12 th and 13 th of April 2008, a group 28 representing the Covenant Vision School of Ministry set off by ferry to Batam, Indonesia. It was the School's very first ministry trip and a new experience for many in the group. Months of planning and coordination led up to this point and the itinerary was set for the group (divided into 3 teams) to minister in 9 churches, orphanages and small groups over the 2 days.

A CVC team first visited Bintan Island on 2-3 September. On the first day of that trip the team ministered to churches in Tanjong Pinang, a town in the south of the island. The team also ministered at a church, Gereja Kristian Khemah Daud (GKKD) in Tanjong Uban in the north-west of the island on Sunday. During this trip we linked up pastors from 19 churches in Tanjong Uban that were open to working with us. These churches are generally smaller churches, and it was agreed that CVC could be a blessing to them. Our focus on ministering in the power of the Holy Spirit, and that the teachings that we emphasise in our Spiritual Growth Seminars was very much needed in Bintan.

Ministry in Manado, Indonesia

I have been going regularly to Manado since 2004, and I have to date been there 16 times. Manado is in north Sulawesi , Indonesia and about 70% or more of the people there are Christian. However many of them are nominal and Christian by tradition only.

This is because the Minahasan people converted to Christianity in around the year 1830. However there has been a real move of God in reviving Christianity in Manado . The new charismatic churches in Jakarta have recently come and successfully planted new churches here that are thriving. However, God has been using us to revive the older traditional as well as the older Pentecostal churches, where the majority of the Christians are.

For the third time in three years, Bro Francis Khoo found himself leading a team of 14 people to Mauritius . The team consisted of Bro Francis himself, Sis Shirley, Pastor Henry, Bro Andrew, Bro Henson, Sis Trisha, Bro James, Sis Rachel, Sis Jill, Sis Susan, Bro Samuel, Sis Rita, Sis Vanessa as well as Pastor Martin from Malaysia . More than half of the team had been to Mauritius before but for the newbies (Susan, Samuel, Rita, Vanessa and Martin), this was an experience they were never going to forget.
