Project Heartbeat

Project Heartbeat1Those who were poor and marginalised by society had a special place in the ministry of Jesus. The gospels account for us how, as He walked on earth, Jesus was ever ready to minister to such people.

At Covenant Vision, we believe that God has strategically placed us here in the Jalan Besar area. When we held our very first social concerns project "Christmas @ Tyrwhitt" in 2008, our eyes were opened to the reality that there were poor and needy people right at our doorstep and that presented such a huge platform for minstry.

CVSOM Graduation 1Making an IMPACT - that was the theme the graduates picked for their graduation. This choice reflected greatly on how these 44 students felt as they stood on the brink of yet another chapter in their lives. Impacted by God, their lives are now to impact their families and communities. That's what Christian Ministry is all about!

For the School, this marked another first. The ceremony saw the very first batch of graduands of the Diploma in Practical Christian Ministry. 14 of them to be exact. Praise God!

Encounter WeekendAs part of Covenant Vision School of Ministry's Certificate programme, students have to attend a 2D1N Encounter Weekend. This year's theme was "Send Your Rain" and a total of 70 participants came together to seek the Lord for a fresh outpouring of His Spirit. Interestingly, throughout the entire week leading up to the weekend, it rained and rained. First in the natural, then in the spiritual!

From the word 'go' on Saturday morning, the Lord's presence was with us. Whether just an admin instruction or an ice-breaker activity... the Lord was there. Hearts were so eager and so open to His leading and prompting. Everyone was so hungry and so expectant. We just knew God was going to move and work powerfully.

Glory_School3.jpgIt was a most awe-inspiring 3-day (3-5 June 2010) conference organised by Covenant Vision and Cairnhill Methodist Church. For the most part we were sitting at the feet of Jesus, immersed in His Holy presence, learning and eagerly absorbing all that He had to teach, to build, and to affirm once again, in a deepening relationship with God.

Ps Rob Hotchkin, from Patricia King's Extreme Prophetic Ministry, was used mightily by the Holy Spirit to deliver, instruct, enlighten and equip through the course.  I was released into the Glory Realm of God.  I was able to experience for myself firsthand what others had been talking about, the dimension of the Spiritual, the Third Heaven, Throne Room experiences, and the like, that …..

cvcc turns 1As a mother, I understand the significance of the first birthday. When my son John turned one, we had celebration one after another. We were celebrating John entering a new stage in his life, toddlerhood. But more than that, we were celebrating our being parents for a whole 365 days, having gone through the good and the bad, the ups and the downs. It felt like a real achievement hitting that one year mark.

For us at Covenant Vision Christian Church, we celebrated our 1st Birthday, or anniversary, as some would call it, on the 1st of November this year and what a celebration it was!
